This sherd is part of a Victorian Transferware Pattern, a typical pattern for the period.

Blue & white ceramics have been produced in China for many years. These pieces were originally imported into England. In the early 19th century, the style inspired a production movement in Bngland. Influential artists like James McNeill Whistler collected these ceramics. The growing middle class also collected the patterns to demonstrate their cultural tastes, & the colour of the Blue & White China was a welcome addition to the typically dark Victorian interior.

All jewellery findings and chains are made with Stainless Steel (the most recyclable material available) unless otherwise stated.
